Hello everyone! Today, I’m going to talk about Sunnyside Park and the waterfront bike trail. Our story begins when my mom and I arrived at Windermere Avenue and Lakeshore Blvd. We had come there to go on a bike trail, so I started biking non-stop until I finally reached the Exhibition Place, which is about 6 km from my starting point. I was amazed because I knew it was really far, but it had only been 15 minutes. So, I went back and forth again, making it a total of about 45 minutes. Meanwhile, my mom, who was on foot, had only walked about a sixth of the way there. However, she was focusing on her surroundings, unlike me because I was laser focused on riding my bike, so I didn’t really look around me.

Along the way, I noticed some big landmarks on the right side of the trail, like restaurants, an ice cream shop called AlPa cones, and a burger place. We also saw Pizza Pizza and a Fruit n’ Berry Co. It was interesting to watch a Tibetan picnic-style party happening, with lots of ethnic food being cooked and music being played. When we walked a little more, we saw the boardwalk where my mom and I spent some time looking around. The boardwalk had a café called Sunnyside Café and a lot of picnic tables and chairs, which were very convenient for families. You could also take your boat out onto the lake there, and while we observed others doing such, my mom saw 5 separate swans, while I saw none. I am a little disappointed that I didn’t see any, but that doesn’t really matter.

I also saw the Sunnyside Bathing Pavilion, the Sunnyside Gus Ryder Pool, and the Boulevard Club. I also saw some grass signs by the highway, with names like “CNN.” I really liked this trip because it was the farthest I had ever biked. I saw an axe-throwing area, and skateboarders on the left side of the road. There was also BMX mountain biking and some cool buildings. It was pretty fun seeing all this for the first time, and I enjoyed everything around me, especially because it was a nice day in Toronto with a cool breeze, so it wasn’t too hot or annoying.

I had a great time biking and exploring Sunnyside Park and the waterfront bike trail. Anyway, bye everyone and see you later!
