My way to Miami Beach

Hello! Today, I’m going to be talking about my experience in downtown Miami. It wasn’t a really in-depth experience of the actual city; rather, it was more about what I saw as I passed through it in a car on the highway. We were heading from the airport to Miami Beach because we came to Miami for our friend’s daughter’s wedding, and they chose to have it at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. It’s a very luxurious hotel with incredible decor, design, great food, and rooms. Back to the actual trip to the hotel. We left from the Sheraton by the airport in an Uber, and it said it would take 44 minutes. So, I was just looking outside, observing the suburbs. I saw a bunch of houses with brick tile roofs and yellow, as well as other brightly colored walls, kind of like in Encanto. There were also a lot of advertisements and such. Palm trees, orange trees, and coconut trees were everywhere, and some people even had hedges cut into specific shapes. The trees continued as we got closer to downtown, but the houses gradually got bigger, turning into apartments and condos, and there were more tall buildings.

We saw some more gas stations, but the main event was really what we saw on the highway. Once we got on the highway and could really see downtown life, we saw massive parking garages, and for some reason, each of them was decorated with artistic pallets on the outside, which was just a nice detail. Another thing we noticed was the abundance of cranes in the area due to ongoing construction work. We actually saw a total of four cruise ships by the pier and the port, as well as the industrial cranes they used to load the cargo ships. We went over the bridge that went over the bay, and it was lined with palm trees, with a row of them in the middle too. We saw a lot of convertibles because convertibles are very popular in Miami. We also saw buildings and a beautiful view, and then we finally reached Miami Beach.

Miami Beach is this little strip of land between the bay and the actual coast. It’s one of the most beautiful places in Florida. There are plenty of hotels there and all sorts of tourist attractions as well. When we arrived, we saw some more built artwork and buildings, and then we got to the hotel. From there, we checked in and saw how beautifully sculpted and how much effort was put into creating a hotel of this caliber. Our driver also explained a little bit of what happened along the way, but he only really spoke Spanish, so it was a little hard for us to understand. However, he was still able to communicate effectively with us. There was this time when he told us he came from “cua”, and my parents didn’t know it’s how you say Cuba in spanish, which was a funny moment during our ride .

Anyway thats all I have to say, so bye everyone and see you later!
