A letter to the class

Dear Classmates,

Hello everyone! I hope this letter finds you all in good spirits. As we come to the end of this school year, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the wonderful experiences we have shared together. It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m excited to share some highlights with you.

The first task in my ACCO position was creating a wishlist for the school as requested by Mr.Marques. We had a budget of $10,000, and we carefully considered the items we needed. We made some practical decisions, such as prioritizing musical instruments over fancy chairs for the music room. I’m thrilled to share that most of the items on our wishlist were purchased, including the ping-pong tables! However, I think we might have overlooked the curling equipment. Nevertheless, we still were able to borrow sets from the main campus.

Aside from the wishlist, we also took part in organizing various school events and fundraisers. I’m proud of how we came together to donate food and support those in need. Our class was always brimming with great ideas, and we made sure to share them with Mr.Marques for consideration in the coming years. I’m particularly excited about his promise to get us a swingset next year.

We had a break from our regular ACCO sessions, but when we resumed, we focused on writing letters to the new kids joining our school. It was wonderful to extend a warm welcome and share our experiences with them. Throughout all of this, we also continued to provide suggestions to Mr. Marques and discuss matters with our homeroom teacher, Mme. Roux.

Before I conclude, I would like to express my gratitude. Thank you all for electing me and giving me the opportunity to serve as a representative. As promised, I did my best to advocate for our ideas and suggestions. Although we couldn’t fulfill every suggestion, I want to assure you that your voices were heard.

I’d like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to my Co-Rep, Zoey for her dedicated work as well. Your commitment has made a difference in our classroom.

In case you’re wondering why it may seem like we didn’t achieve much, it’s because our meetings were infrequent, and we skipped some months. This limited our opportunities to meet and make decisions. Nevertheless, Mr. Marques ensured that we stayed productive during that time.

As we look forward to the next school year, let’s remain hopeful and excited. Our suggestions have been taken into account, and I believe we can make a difference. Together, we will continue to strive for positive changes and make our classroom an even better place for everyone.

Thank you all for being such amazing classmates and friends. I am grateful to have shared this journey with each and every one of you. Enjoy your summer break, and I look forward to seeing you all again in the upcoming school year!

Warmest regards,

Farhan
