Hello everyone! Today, I’m going to be talking about the Dixie cup challenge . The Dixie cup challenge is actually a series of challenges that need Dixie cups, elastics, and string. You get divided into teams, and then you are given a challenge. You have to complete the challenge without touching the cups if you touch the cup you have to restart. These challenges could be making a tower with Dixie cups, or maybe try and put them all into a pile. The reason why it’s hard to do these challenges, is that you can’t touch them. When the only thing you can use are elastics, string and flash cards, it’s really hard to even pick them up. The reason why, is that you have to be exterior extremely dexterous to be able to pick up, or place the cups. Now the cups also are also tricky. You have to figure out what the design or pattern is, when you’re making towers, so that you have enough cups to finish it. Because of this my team lost a challenge. The opposing team had one more player than us, so that was expected. In the end, we got 79, while the other team got 102. The challenge was really fun though. In the end, both teams enjoyed the challenge. The reason why we lost however, was on the last challenge, we had no idea how the tower was supposed to be made. Because of this, we made the tower based way bigger than it was supposed to be. This way, we didn’t have enough cups to finish the tower. In the end however, we finally figured it out. However by then, it was too late. The other team had already gotten so many points. Then the timer ended. The other main problem that we had, was the cups falling into other cups. For example, if one of the cops fell on top one of the other clubs, it would get stuck on the cup. It would be extremely hard to take the Dixie cups out, because we couldn’t hold them using our hands. One of us had to hold it up using the elastic, while another used the string to push them down. It happened so many times, that it was the second biggest reason that we lost that challenge. It also made us lose the third challenge. and the second one. We still managed to get a good amount of points, but the other team was fast. The reason why was because there was four of them, and only three of us. That means each one of them could have used a tool, while we had to use three of the tools and had to leave one left out. Dixie cups are fun to play with, but that doesn’t mean that they’re easy to play with.
