Hello everyone! Today, I visited the rooftop pool on the 11th floor of the Leela palace, in Delhi India. It was here that I saw a bizarre sight.

There were tons of pigeons flying all around the city, and there was around 20 of them on the rooftop of the hotel.

Then five of them decided to fly onto the pool. That’s where I saw it. Pigeons walking on water! I was like wait what? My mom said they were standing on stones, but I clearly saw the ripples they made in the water and they always were dipping their beaks and their face in the water so I knew they couldn’t be standing on stones.

As far as I know, pigeons don’t walk on water, so this is something new to me. If you have ever seen a pigeon walk on water please let me know in the comments which you probably won’t do because no one ever comments. There’s one comment in the whole history of my blog and that was from one of my relatives. Anyway I’m going to really off-topic you’re you know my first impression when I saw them walking on water was like wait are these genetically altered pigeons, or are these the eagles from lord of the rings disguised as Pigeons? But they don’t walk on water.

In fact the only instance or somebody walking on something that you’re supposed to have your feet stink into is Legolas the elf in the fellowship of the ring. He walks up on the snow but his feet don’t sink into it. I was like wait did a mad scientist alter these pigeons so that they walk on water, like Legolas who walks on the snow, and the logical part of my brain told me that you’re talking crazy talk right now and that probably they were just standing on like a wire or something like that. I haven’t got a chance to check it yet but I am pretty sure that they are standing on the strings of the net that holds all the people who are swimming in the pool away from the edge .

Anyway, these pigeons are weird. This reminds me of the blog post playing chess with a pigeon. Are these pigeons like that pigeon? Well we are about to find out. OK not really, I just said that to sound cool. Fun fact! Did you know that pigeons are actually one of the smartest animals alive? It’s true! Pigeons are also scavengers. They steal leftover food from the ground in the big cities such as Toronto, New York or Delhi. Pigeons are also common pray for birds of prey to such as Perigen falcons.Anyway birds of prey eat smaller birds to satisfy their hunger if they can’t find anything else.
