Time to look up
A decade ago, it seemed that climate change had become unavoidable, however, the opposite of that happened in the previous decade. First of all I need to tell you that if our carbon emissions do not change, we will reach 3 degrees of extra heat caused by climate change. This may not seem like much, but at 4 degrees, billions of people will die. How ever, this is not as bad as it seems. You see, in the last decade carbon emissions have dropped a lot. Why? Because many people are trying to solve different aspects of climate change. Everywhere you look, there’s an entrepreneur, activist, NGO or scientist solving one aspect of climate change. Every reusable energy source is getting cheaper and more efficient, batteries are becoming cheaper, boats are going half speed to reduce their emissions, and many more things are changing. New trends are popping up, and in 2021, in Norway 8 out of 10 cars were hybrid or electric. The best part is that we don’t have to choose between economic growth or the planet. In fact, it’s be bad for profit if people keep fossil fuels. There are also machines that can suck 1 ton of carbon out of the air for $600. However, it’s not enough.Rapid climate change is fast, and we need to do more to stop it. However, we did all that without much government help. Imagine what we could do with proper funding and aide.It would be difficult to get the policies enacted, but it is still possible to stop climate change.
On that positive note, let’s take a climate change quiz.
