Hello everyone!

Today, I’m going to be reviewing New Kid, a book I read recently. New Kid is about a kid who is going to middle school at a new school where there isn’t much racial diversity. For some reason, most of the teachers and students are always messing up the names of the other kids. Especially the main characters’ Homeroom teacher. There are also bullies at the school. And there’s a thing called financial aid for people who don’t have enough money to afford school.

It’s an emotional story as well. New problems emerge a lot, and we see how the people around the main character help solve the new problems when they arise. This is known as problem-solving. That was pretty useless as information, but all of the characters are really good problem solvers.I think that Jordan, the main character, had to go through a lot just to go to a school to please his mom. He wanted to go to art school, but his mom made him go to the school he’s in,R.A.D, and his dad didn’t want him to go to a school without much racial diversity, as he used to go to work for a company that published 90 magazines, but he was treated badly, so he quit, and he didn’t want his son to live through that.

New Kid is a great story and you should all read it.
