Hello everyone! Today, I am going to be talking about a coincidence I observed in the history. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated by a racist person. And Abraham Lincoln was also assassinated by a racist. Martin Luther King gave equal rights to everyone in America. And Abraham Lincoln stopped slavery in that country. It is a bit of a coincidence that two people who fought for black rights were both assassinated. It is a bit weird but interesting nonetheless.

This reminds me of something. In school we are doing biographies of celebrities. The options were Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa, Malala Yousafzai, Barack Obama, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks. I chose Martin Luther King, because his work to make everyone equal is very honourable, and is one of the best things that anyone could do.
Another fact is that Martin Luther King never ran for president, so he never became one, but still got the Noble Peace Prize for all his work.

I am also sharing a famous quote from MLK:“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.”. This quote is important because it shows that if we stop fighting for equality and the things that truly matter, we lose a part of ourselves, and that part is our humanity.
A lot of people were affected by MLK’s death, as he had made his way into the hearts of the people of America through his actions against the injustice known as segregation, the law that made racism promoted in a legal way.

MLK was passionate about fashion. No African American person liked denim, so they distanced themselves from it a lot. MLK realized he could use this for his campaign. In fact, many workers wore denim on the march on Washington. However, it is important to remember that most people thought the clothes they wore were a label given by society.

Below this text, there is a poster of MLK I made. It represents his importance in the history of America.I sincerely doubt that the world would be as it is today if not for the actions taken by Dr.Martin Luther King Jr for racially equality in the world.
