The 12 labors of Hercules(#5)

In the last part, Hercules captured the Erymanthian Boar by trapping it in snow. He checked the list to find out his next task. “Let’s see here, clean the Augean stables in one day….ARE YOU KIDDING EURYSTHEUS!” He yelled. The Augean stables were owned by the cheapest king of all time. He wouldn’t pay for anything and the kingdom became the dirtiest place in the world. When Hercules arrived and announced his task, the king thought of a way to get his stables cleaned for an extremely low price. He told Hercules if he did his task, he could get half of his herd. The scheme of the king was to have Hercules try to clean up his stables, and just get the rest done by his people. But Hercules changed the flow of the river near the stable so that it poured into the stables and washed clean. Once it was done he change the flow of the river to its original form. Then he went over to the king and showed him. The king reluctantly gave Hercules custody of half his herd. What will be the next task for our hero? Let’s find out next time.
