Third task done! What is the next challenge for our pal? Let’s check the list.

1. Slay the Nemean lion.done
2. Slay the nine-headed Lernaean Hydra.done
3. Capture the Ceryneian Hind.done
4. Capture the Erymanthian Boar.

“Well that one is going to be hard.” he said to him self. The Erymanthian Boar was very strong so it would be hard to bring it back alive. Along the way, he met the centaur Pholus. He decided to rest there for a while. When they were eating, he asked Pholus 2 questions. 1.How could he capture the Erymanthian Boar alive? and 2.Do you have any wine? Pholus told him something about snow for the first question, and for the second, he said yes, but it was sacred and only for centaurs. Hercules really wanted it though, so after some negotiation, he finally gave it to him. But many centaurs came to kill him as a result, so he shot them all with poison arrows. However, Pholus picked up one of the arrows to see what made them so deadly, when he dropped it on his hoof! He died instantly. Hercules realized that he had also shot Chiron, his teacher. However, he was immortal, so the poison just left him in mortal agony forever. So to make it up to him Hercules promised to find a way to kill him so he need not suffer for eternity. He then captured the boar by pushing it into a snow pile and getting it stuck. The next task is going to be revealed in the next part. See you later!
