Back in January me and my mom decided that it was time to clean up our pantry a little bit. So my mom bought a bunch of cereal containers from Amazon along with labels. We started out by removing all the old bottles and replacing them with the containers with labels. They were chalkboard labels that need a special pen to write on. You can erase the writing on the chalkboard label by wiping it with a wet napkin. The next step was getting out all of the junk. We replaced the junk with additional glass jars bought through Amazon.

Then my dad decided to help a little bit by adjusting the shelves to add more space. We also got three little stands that would turn around with the jars and put the spice bottles on them as well. These stands are called Lazy Susans.

My mom had bought glass oil dispensers. We labeled them and put them in an order inside a pullout shelf.

By that point the pantry was looking really nice but we weren’t done yet. There was still a lot of empty space in the pantry, so we made three rope baskets to put some stuff in. And then my mom bought a rolling cart to create more space. We assembled it together.

One of the real reasons why we needed to organize our pantry was the huge amount of Indian spices and grocery we had. For example we had like five packets of turmeric, four of masala, and three of pepper.

We also put all the baking ingredients in little jars. We finally had a place to put our baking supplies in one place. I know that some people don’t want to do this and it isn’t exactly necessary but I’d advise you to clean up your pantry so it’s easier to get supplies. I remember it took me about 15 minutes to make a lemon pie and now it is shortened to five minutes because of the brilliant organization.

In life you should always be organized because it saves you a lot of time. In some jobs it’s really useful, for example, a chef or a butler.

Mom’s best friend came over last week and she loved our pantry. She said she wanted us to do that in her house. And if you wondering why it’s because it is just really useful to organize your pantry especially if you’re someone who likes baking.
